This project was completed in March 2025, involving two concrete homes - both over 100 years old. The cedar windows were fully stripped back and cracks in the cladding were carefully filled with a high-build elastomeric acrylic coating, specified through Resene. Failing putty was raked out and repaired with Repair Care Dryseal MP, which enabled us to topcoat the new putty system within 24hrs.
Two coats of pigmented sealer were applied to the exterior, followed by three coats of an acrylic weathertight membrane paint - a total of five protective layers. This was the first time one of these houses had been painted in over 30 years, and it was great to bring it back to life.
